By man's will religions arose, and their knowledge has outlasted time and rationality: the need to form community, to create, to build, to live together and love. All the major religious wisdoms agree on what the greatest commandment is among all teachings: the need to love God and to love whoever appears to us as our neighbor. We find this teaching in similar statements in all religious traditions: in the great Indian poems and in the Buddha's discourses, in Confucius' thoughts and in the Dao's maxims, in Jainism and in Zoroastrianism, in Latin wisdom and in the speeches of the prophet Muhammad.
The Only Commandment

Promote a life based on mutual love, to improve our life and that of others. A more open and relaxed humanity, without hatred and selfishness but with complicity and well-being, where there are no enemies but people of different race, culture and faith who offer knowledge and integration.
The roots of love between the Terni community and Saint Valentine lie in Terni, the city where the ancient Basilica and the Cemetery of Saint Valentine are located, where the Sacred Relics are kept. A love of the community that spreads beyond the city limits to reach the whole world for two thousand years.
Umbria is the land of great religious figures: Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint Benedict of Norcia, Saint Rita of Cascia, in Collevalenza Mother Speranza. From Terni Saint Valentine sends a great message of universal love to the whole world.
Saint Valentine can play a leading role worldwide to promote a major celebration of feelings and universal love: seminars, concerts, events, exhibitions, theatre, spiritual retreats, pilgrimages to the Basilica.
To be an example worldwide and promote a society with new values of social inclusion.
